A Note From Our Founder:
There is no other demographic of children that impact our community like Foster Youth. The trauma from being removed from your parents, is labeled the “Spillover Effect”. Our taxes dollars go towards addressing Homelessness, Welfare, Prison/Jails, Sex Trafficking, Mental Illnesses, Teen Pregnancies, which all have a common thread, a background in Foster Care.

Not only does requiring swim lessons as part of every Foster Youth case plan help save lives and prevent drownings, it just as important provides them confidence to SAFELY enjoy a lifetime of water based activities, in which science shows is the greatest form of holistic therapy available (Blue Mind)

One of Our Many Testimonials:
Good morning Urban Surf 4 Kids,

I just wanted to touch base with you this morning and provide some feedback. Yesterday my son and I both took our first swim lesson with Beth (Urban Surf 4 Kids Aquatic Director). My son has been in lessons 3 times prior to yesterday over the last 6 year's and for him each lesson was a traumatic experience which which resulted in him not continuing. After a 2 year break to regroup we decided to give it a go again and it was an amazing experience which left my heart overjoyed. Beth was absolutely amazing, patient, fun. She build self confidence in my son that I have never seen before. He talked about it all night last night and is very excited about seeing her next week for his next lesson. Before yesterday my son, was untrusting of swim instructors, afraid to put his face in the water, and absolutely refused to leave the steps of the pool without having a vest or floaties. I have attached pictures of his lesson with Beth yesterday. I was so amazed at the progress with his VERY FIRST LESSON! Thank you so much for this opportunity and connecting us to Beth.
